About the conference

PKP is Slovenia’s leading business event and the meeting point of the most important names in business.

It is a place to exchange best business practices and an opportunity for business people to hear first-hand about upcoming economic trends.

Over more than two decades, the Portorož Business Conference (PKP) has built its reputation and recognition in part through the participation of renowned guest lecturers from many of the world’s universities and business schools. Organised by the Finance Business Academy and the School of Economics and Business of the University of Ljubljana, PKP has been held since 1999.

Each year at the Portorož Business Conference, the School of Economics and Business of the University of Ljubljana, together with its partner institutions, publishes a research study. As Professor Janez Prašnikar, PhD, programme director of PKP, explains, more than 100 researchers have taken part in the studies so far, with a permanent group of 16 experts working on the project every year.
